Welcome to the Traveling Squirrel Photography Shop! I’m so glad you stopped by. My love for boats and all things nautical runs deep, but my heart has always belonged to travel photography. There’s something magical about capturing the beauty, light, and spirit of a place through the lens. My journey began years ago with a Brownie camera—I still remember the satisfying squeak when advancing the film. Later came an Olympus (which, unfortunately, lost all my photos from my first trip to Europe thanks to a stubborn rewind button!), followed by a beloved hand-me-down Nikon Nikkormat with a trusty 50mm lens. When I added a Vivitar zoom, I was unstoppable—snapping away everywhere I went. Eventually, life tucked my camera into a closet, until the arrival of digital photography reignited my passion. My first little Canon rekindled the spark, and from there, my collection—and my love for the art—has only grown. What truly inspires me now are the stories shared by those who bring my photos into their homes. Your kind words and connections to my images mean more than I can express.
